Passion

To be successful in life, you have to find your passion. Your passion is something that you are willing to do everyday for free. You need passions that comes together in courses that are bigger than yourself and become courses that take on a certain charisma of it's own. You then need to figure out a way where these passions can be of benefit to others as well as to you. This is all according to “Success Built to Last” by Stuart Emery, Mark Thompson and Jerry Porras.

Pity no one can really tell you HOW to find your passion though. People I know who seems to have found their passions walked into it by chance. As a start, I hereby attempt to take an inventory of what my passions seems to be :

  • Taking photos : I wouldn't use the term 'photography'. There are some REALLY good photographers out there, so to say that I am "into photography" will be to degrade their genius. However, I love observing. I love the joy of discovering the extraordinary amongst the ordinary.
  • Traveling : Lots of people love traveling, I am no different. A career of working with and amongst people from other cultures has taught me a lot about life. Somewhere in the world, there's always a different angle to every situation and established practice.
  • Listening to people
  • Read : The world is a huge library for me. I am interested in a huge range of topics. My issue at the moment is to read faster than I can buy.

Now, how do these passions come together as a course that can also be of benefit to others?

PS. Hey folks, take a read of this terrific blog entry on HOW to find your passion!!
